Oil in airbox? help... (12a)

heres my problem, a week ago I got to Banff Alberta, coming from Toronto. 3600km drive and alot more elevation. Now as I got further and further west and gained elevation, that explains my loss of power. What I dont understand is now I have oil in my airbox.
Any Ideas as to were I can start?

Do you have external oil leaks in the engine bay, in particular, the mop?

Yeah, if you have a mop in your engine bay you might want to take that out of there immediately. I heard they do terrible things if left sitting in there long enough.

J/K

I think Trochoid meant the OMP, I could be wrong though.

MOP, Metering Oil Pump, per the FSM. Interesting read somedays. lol. One of those acronyms that has aquired dyslexia.

Ohhh man, so it's the metering oil pump not the oil metering pump? Are these two different things or did I misread? The only reason for the attempted correction was to help out in case a search was necessary to learn more about the topic. Even though the way the search works it would pull up all those words... oh, how embarassing. I guess you learn something everyday though, huh?

Same item, often misnamed omp, search both. Omp seems to be more prevelant, even though incorrect.

I'll have to have a look, I know there is some sort of oil leak. I thought it was the oil pan, but I'll have a closer look asap. thanks
