oil?

i have an 83 gsl, i have replaced the muffler with a dynaflow (mostly for looks!) when i start it, it smells and smokes. after killing it i have realized that a mixture of oil and water are collecting on the end of my muffler. the water does not scare me (condensation) but the oil does. i understand a small amount of oil is injected into the fuel but this seems to be waaaaayyyy too much pls help its my new car and ive only driven it onto and off of the car hauler.( other than the test drive.)

There's no way you could have drips of engine oil coming out the exhaust. Maybe the inside of the muffler is buring off something.

i have talked to my dad and he agrees that it is the muffler breaking in and it is the oil that they used to press or something when they made it.

There is really no way that enough oil could come out the exhaust that it didn't burn up by the tailpipe, so it is definately the muffler.
