oi pressure problems on 12a
car is an 83 GS 107k.
So the warmer the car gets, the lower the oil pressure reads and gets less responsive to increasing with rpms until its fully warmed, then it read NO oil pressure regardless.
We did the plugs on the car maybe 300 miles ago, and they were black and gobbered up bad. While running, its got a gray exhaust color, smells pretty bad. Still has the cat on it so im sure it stopping alot more of the smoking that it could have.
Oil doesnt smell like fuel like its been flooding or anything. Nor does the smoking go away once warmed up.
Im thinking an oil control ring is starting to go.
thoughts?

It's rebuild time. If it smokes that is a good indication that the soft seals are hard and need to be replaced. The low oil pressure is a symptom of the front cover o-ring having started to leak. They start to do that over 100k miles.
It's time for a rebuild. If you value your engine, you'll get it rebuilt before the lack of oil pressure causes a bearing to spin. By rebuilding it now, it will cost less than if you let it go and something more expensive happens ie broken apex seals, spun bearing etc. While it's apart you could have it mildly ported and other cool mods like upping the oil pressure, light aftermarket flywheel, prep for a turbo or supercharger and plenty of other fun things. Whenever I look at an engine that needs a rebuild, that's what I think about.

the car is actually a local older guys car who wanted me to look at it for him. The car is extremely nice for a northern ohio car. Red w/ black interior. Ihave no idea what he is going to want to go with it after this point. He was trying to sell it for like 4000 dollars or something obsurd like that a while back...

Yeah, that's too much. Knowing the engine needs a rebuild, I'd not give him more than 1k for it, but it largely depends on the condition. If it's got no rust and otherwise is in great shape for your area, 1k sounds decent.
Maybe you could get in touch with peejay or some other OH rotorheads about a non-expensive rebuild.
