Oh boy...The MAC DADDY Stupid question~!

Ok... I am a little embarrased to ask this question! HOWEVER... When setting up an aftermarket Tach- Do you set the tach to 2 or 4 cylinders?

Is there like a school where we can all go and learn about rotowee engines....like from step one?

Set it up as if it were a 4 cylinder. And remember to run it to the leading coil, or itll be off by progressively increasing RPMS as the rpms get higher. I made this mistake by accident lol.

Stupid questions are ones that you don't know the answer to, and do not ask.
BTW, many others have wondered the same thing. Rotary engines are in a class by themselves.

The only one I know of is the 'School of Hard Knocks', i.e., dig in and learn it yourself.

But I am stubborn like that, I was even called tenacious, once.

Normally, the trailing is the front coil. However, mine had the high tension wires crossed when I bought it. I don't even understand how it ran, much less that it ran as good as it did.....................

As for a Rotary school, I haven't seen anything like that. I learned by buying a car, and joining here. Read all you can, and believe only the things that seem to be totally wrong..........
Seriously, there isn't too much to learn about these cars, just gotta keep an open mind. I love talking to people who are mechanics, as they usually just say "I/we don't work on rotaries". Makes me smile, and I tell them good, I can use all the business myself.
