Now you see them, now you don't - Hidden Subwoofers

After about 2 years I figured it was time to cover them, with the tinted windows really wasn't worried.
Now they are stealth, and people still think I got 12's in there from the sound level.
I also went ahead and added some sound damping sheets to the rear end area and secured the enclosures better.
at 70MPH windows down sunroof out, it will still pound your body.

Looks sweet, damn shame I can't do that. I've got some serious water leaking in back there right where those speakers are. Need to fix that somehow first.

run a coat hanger through your drain tubes and make sure there's no debris around the weatherstripping to get back down there when it rains... mine get clogged on the regular and leak on my 6x9's... just have to keep them clear and that fixes it temporarily.

They are manufactured boxes, circa 1980's
Back when they were new they had an 8" woofer, 3" mid and 1" tweeter
I removed the mid and plugged the hole for the tweet and installed a new 8" sub.
they are fiberglass and are custom fit, they fit like gloves, even indents in the back
where the taillight bolts stick out.
the only mod you have to do is remove the holder for the jack, after that they just
slip right in. For the amount of bass vs. space you'd be crazy to have anything else.

****. I have 10s. I think I'm gonna keep my car audio so I'll have to make my own fiberglass enclosures. Oh well. Good experience.
