Exclamation Not my clutch, please help me figure out this leak

Hey guys,
I just pulled my engine, to change the clutch, because its been slipping like crazy lately. And i thought that was funny, on account of the clutch only having 5,000 km on it. So when i pull the engine first thing I notice is the clutch is a bit wet with oil, and the bell housing has a small puddle of oil on it. Second thing i noticed was that the oil was comming from where the pilot bearing is, and that the pilot seal was all chewed up. I searched and found a few suspects, either the main rear seal or stationary gear seal, or maybe the essentric shaft o rings. I have some pictures, and my friend will be posting them soon. It also seems like the oil is comming from the very back of the essentric shaft. It would be nice if i could just replace the pilot bearing seal, but i doubt i'm that lucky. If anyone has any ideas or experiences with this type of thing please help me out. I need this car running as fast as possiable. thanks Alot of all the help.

best regards, Matt

If the oil/grease is only coming from where the arrow points then it is the pilot bearing grease that is your source. If the pilot seal is that badly chewed up after only 5k mi., then check the input shaft of your transmission for excessive play.

The pilot bearing may have been over greased, 'a little dab will do ya'.

nope, its not pilot grease, its definatly motor oil, and its definatly leaking from out of there, i'll dry it all out and a few minutes, there will be another little puddle. the whole bellhousing is soaked and really dirty. and Its been leaking oil for the past month from inbetween the tranny and engine. I know I put a little grease in there when i installed it 2 months ago, but definatly not that much, thanks tho. any ideas what problematic seal i should be looking at
