not idling right
anyone got any ideas? I am trying to get the 13b rx 7 85 gsl-se to idle correctly, and by following the chiltons manual, it doesn't seem to make any difference. Bear in mind the timing is a ok, new fuel filter, plugs etc,... so by their instructions, I,
1. Switch all electronics in cab off, and remove fuel fiulter cap.
2. Start engine and let run until reaches norm temp.
3. Check and adjust throttle sensor, w/engine offconnect two lite to jumper, then turn ignition on and see if either lite lites, if both lite turn ccw if none lite then cw. on the throttle sensor adj screw.
4. once that is adjusted , disconnect vaccum solenoid vent connector, start engine and adjust idle speed to 800 w/tachometer via the AAS(air adjustment screw).
5. Last turn engine off, reconnect the connector then everything should be hunkie dorey.
Well it just doesn't make a difference when I follow the proceedure, the engine drops to about 600 rpms and gets rough.
please if anyone has any ideas, i'm open to suggestions.
thanks....

You may want to go take a look at David Lane’s article Solving GSL-SE Idle Problems. http://www.nellump.com/peri/epi/firs...gslseIdle.html
This article is awesome, it was a great help to me getting the POS Racer to Idle!

I think the link helped. I cleaned out the BAC/ ASV and put it back on the plentum. then started it. whlah. it seemed to idle steady, didn't let it get warm, not enough time, but, I feel that this has repaired the problem. thank you for the ***'kickin link that found me the answer. now its time to start the asthetic restoration process . hopefully in a years time i'll have this old POS in origional condition, well at least close to for fun drivin in southern me.
thanks again, when I get a chance I'll post some pic of the beast.
