ok so this happened twice to me i'm just tryin to get a gsl-se front cover! is the attached file a gsl-se front cover? looks like a 12a to me. the s4 OMP are supposed to bolt right up to the front cover right? GSL-SE has the top mounting hole more towards the rear of the cover right?

s4 omp works on Gsl-se... that is what both my cars are running!

That looks like a gsl-se cover but I'd need more pictures... and larger to say for certain!

here are some bigger pics. 1st one is where the omp mounts up to the front cover on the one i had sent to me. 2nd pic is another pic of the same one. 3rd is my s4 omp on the timing cover notice it doesnt mount up. at the end is the pic of the gsl-se cover that i know

am i missing somthing? were there some gsl-se's with the older style omps?
also wacky i know you know tons probably more than I, but since your the guy that sold this cover to the person i bought it from. i just dont know if you are correct on this.

thats an -SE cover and metering pump. the 84-88 n/a metering pumps are all the same. the turbo pump flows more, but is otherwise identical. the part number is N246-14-600 (look where your thumb is), and its a 12a turbo part number

the 89+ pumps have a 3 bolt mounting flange

and the 12a pumps all only have 2 lines.

no wonder it looks familiar (almost polished and a bend timing pointer). it must be that old & cranky RX7doctor. lol

heh ya it is rx7docter. and yes i know that the OMP is a s4(its mine) but look on the 2 right pics. see the mounting holes? those are for 12a omp's. which makes it a 12a cover. the pic on the right is a gsl-se and is broken. per mazdatrix....all 84-88 are the same. since my s4 omp doesnt mount right. its ot a gsl-se right? (the pic with the omp shows how far off the mounting hoels are.)

You're right. It seems to be a 12a cover. First one I've seen with the boss for the turbo oil drain.

So the -SE OMP doesn't bolt onto the 12A front cover? I always thought that it did....

hmmm. since you mentioned that, I just realized that I send him a different front cover which came out from a parts car (stock 83 12-A with auto tranny) that I took apart years ago and have been saving since. Im surprised that he didnt catch it either.

NOTE:
RX7doctor gave me a GSL-SE cover years ago. Then I few months ago, when he needed one, I send him that one to return the favor. At that time, I've got several GSL-SE covers in my pile of junks. So I took the cleanest one and sent it to him WITHOUT CHECKING.

In summary, I WILL TAKE THE HEAT ON THIS ONE and not RX7DOCTOR.
