Noob Question...Oil Injection
Ok i am completly new the these motors so be nice! 
i have a 84 GSL-SE which is fuel injected, so my question is i have been searching trying to find out for sure if this motor is also Oil injected and have not been able to find a definitive answer, i would assume that it is but why i am not sure is the previouse owner said he was premixing MMO in the fuel. So why would he pre-mix if it is injected?
wouldnt that over saturate the motor? and if it is injected how can i check and see if the injection system is operating correctly?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

All MAZDA RX-7 production rotary engines are oil-injected.
The owner may have been pre-mixing due to either a failure in the OMP (oil metering pump), or he may have modified the engine to eliminate the pump, or he might just be doing it "belt and suspenders;" pre-mixing even though not specifically needed just for safety sake. Or, he may have been doing it because he'd heard about it, but didn't understand why it might or might not be needed; "I heard it's good for rotaries" kind of decision.
Time to get mechanically familiar with your motor, and see what may and may not be stock, what may or may not be working.

Your omp is going to be located on the front cover of your engine on the left hand side on the bottom, follow the lines up and you should be able to track down the inlet ports.
Once you find the ends, there is tests that you can do to see that it is pumping out the correct amount. Do you have a repair manual? If not I would suggest getting one as it will become very handy!

The oil metering lines are clear/ cloudy small plastic lines. You can see the oil in them if they are not too cloudy from age. They run along the top of the lower intake manifold were it joins the block out past the side of the water pump and down to the pump on the side of the front cover.(on the air filter side)
Also, there is a long rod that attaches to the throttle / butterfly's rod on the front of the throttle body that leads down to the pump. It pulls up on a lever on the pump to increase oil flow as you press the throttle. Look for the rod and the lines. The other owner may have covered the pump opening with a cover.

...numerous threads on this topic. Use the search function to determine what path you want to take (to premix or not to premix) and do what you feel is best considering your driving habits, etc.
