noisy front struts, do tokico blues come with spacers/washers?

i've been meaning to pull my front stuts off for a while as i believe my tokico hp blues are 'knocking' inside the struts, i fitted them quite a while ago and carnt remember if they come with spacers? i know i didnt fill them with oil to help so i will stick some gear oil in there and make sure the large nut is good and tight down on the strut and use some thread lock as it may have worked lose hence the noise

You definitely need some oil in there to keep them cool. They might be shot if you didn't.

IIRC the spacer was for the SA strut tubes not the FB... may have been the other way around though.

pulled these out today and the strut nut (large one) was vertually undone! i chopped 10mm off the top of my coilover coller so i can get acsess to the nut to make sure its up tight, i did have a washer in there and some oil so that was all fine (my dad built these up for me hence why i was unsure!) took it for a quick spin and no knocking so all good!

Oil in the strut housing can help with location as well as heat but you will not "blow" them from not doing this.

does anyone know the size of the strut nut (large one) not the shock nut, i used some big mole grips and only thought after i'd put them back about either getting a large socket or proper spanner for them

I use a pipe wrench, simple and effective.
