No vacuum - where did I go wrong

I had a spare Nikki, rebuilt it, tried to use it, no go. Put my original Nikki back on and now I have no vacuum. Car runs and idles okay, does get a little bumpy but has not stalled out on me or otherwise make me something is wrong with it, just no frickin vacuum. I haven't found any leads while searching. I have inspected it both on and off the car multiple times for leaks, can't find any!

Any ideas or advice??

Where are you checking for vacuum and what makes you think you have none? Need more details, be specific, stock, rat's nest removed, etc..

Way back in the day I had my phenolic spacer on upside down and it wouldnt idle very well and overall ran crappy but would start no prob. It had all emissions on it at the time.

+1. Here's hoping you didin't try to replace the gaskets on the spacer - they don't replace.

If you used a gasket on either(or both) sides of the spacer, that'd be your problem.

-I have removed the rats next as per the directions on the FAQ's.
-I also removed the choke.
-to check for the vac I took one line off at a time looking for any sort of vac, only one that did anything was the line to the dizzy, and that just made the car stall. also just tried the cruise control and didn't work.

I think I put a gasket on the intake side of the spacer and on the top side. so no gasket on either side? does any sealant go there?

I appreciate the help so far!

Roger that. I have gaskets around the spacer. I'll assume that is my problem for now, until I have time to get them off!

also this link is just for future reference: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...=spacer+gasket
