No/Rare start..checking new things now.

85GS.. I have driven it, but it had poor power and would stall.
new: fuel pump, fuel filter, NGK plugs, wires, leading coil.
Checked cap and rotor, and swapped with parts car's.
Carb rebuilt, floats checked and reset(whoever built the carb before me was way off!!) fuel in windows look good. Cleaned out gas tank. Compression sounds good. lol

I have not checked timing yet. I don't have a fuel pressure gauge for PSI(yet), but the volume is good.

Just driving myself crazy here, looking for ANYthing that might be wrong.

Which is toward the front of the carb, the fuel line or the return line?

Lightbulb Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Sorry for replying to my own post, but looking at the # of "views, not too many people will mind.lol

I was just laying here thinking....The original problem this car had was that it stalled out after about 15-20 seconds of driving. I figured it was a lack of fuel, and have been chasing symptoms ever since. I am going to rule out ignition problems for now, and go back to square one with the fuel circuit. I guess I'll look for a good midpoint, maybe fuel line into the carb, and go from there.

Oh well, thanx for all the help I've gotten so far. If anyone wants to come fix my car for me, ( don't everyone jump at once!!) I'll send you directions to my house. lol I'll be your friend!! 8)

MAIN fuel line is the thickest, return line is the smallest...

There might be some, but I cleaned the tank, and flushed/replaced the lines.

oooooooooooooohhhhhhh crap. I think I have 2 stuck seals now in the front housing. With the plugs out I get pff, pff,PSST,pff, pff,PSST. This is a new issue so will I be right in thinking that it isn't horrible. I know its bad, but maybe not the end of things? I guess this is due to flooding the engine ALOT lately. As soon as someone I trust on here gives me the go ahead, I will do a MMO treatment as described in the Decarbonizing thread in the FAQ.

Sound like the right decision?
Should I expect the seals to come back to working order?
