No Power Antenna, where does the bracket mount?
My '82 GSL didn't have a power antenna when I bought it. I see/feel no bracket in there. It's got a goofy cheap $10 rubber antenna.
I bought a '84 GSL-SE parts car and it has a power antenna, but it's just flopping around in there. So I don't think it has a bracket either.
What does the bracket mount to?
I want to put one on my car and since I had the trim panels off to do some speaker swapping, I took a look and it doesn't look promising.
Did a search and didn't really see anyone converting from a non power to a power.
Thanks

You need a bracket from a GSL or SE. Pull your right rear taillight from the SE parts car and have a look around, the stock bracket is probably in there someplace.
If not, check the junk yards, this isn't a high interest item (yet).
Here's a recent post on replacement power antenna's and some photos of what the bracket looks like:

The stock bracket mounts to the inside sheet metal through two holes that accept the two mounting bolts you see in the photo below. This positions the unit at the right height and angle so that the mast exits precisely at the surface of the rear fender and tilts back at the correct angle.
You could try to fabricate a bracket to fit the existing holes or drill new ones, but there isn't much room to work in there and it could be tricky getting the fabricated bracket to hold the unit securely and in the right position.
I'd recommend trying to find a stock bracket in the junk yard or put a want to buy add here on the forum, then doing the small modification needed to accept the aftermarket antenna. Notice how the bottom edge of the stock bracket, on the left, is bent to a 90 degree angle on the modified bracket on the right.
