Question No Power !!!

I have a 1984 GSL SE, 13B engine
The car starts fine and runs fine until it reaches running temp. Then it has no power the engine cuts out around 2000 RPM when in gear and 4500 RPM when in neutral. The local Mazada dealer could not find the problem the only thing they found wrong was the Throttle sensor. They then wanted to change the ECU at a huge cost but I had one off my parts car. I have changed the ECU I still have the same problem, does any one have any Idea what the problem could be?

Thanks

Check the fuel filter and exhaust for blockage. Fyi, dealers don't know **** about rotarys older than the 8's anymore.

Fuel filter and exhaust are good places to start. Fuel pump is also suspect. The FI system relies on having plenty of volume and pressure, to run correctly.
Also check the air flow meter for obstruction.
Dealers barely know anything about the 8's.........

Could also be an ignition issue (coil heating up maybe?), but start with what T and RW said first. And the dealership says "a roto-what? It's probably your head gasket."

Did the dealer fix the throttle position sensor? I had one go bad and it would cut out like you claim. Their cheap and may be the problem.
