yes i been batelling this problem for about 3 months already. i searched on every rx7 forums and i did everything that what i found and still no pressure. at first it was reading no more that 20 and drop back to 0. i put about 3 o rings, new gaskets, tefon rings, new oil pump and still no pressure. i hceck that the key is on the oil pump too, right now im gonna check the oil pick up tube to see if is loose. any other sugenstion about what to check? im pissed. because i havent had fun with my car and this is driving me nuts. thanks

 

could be bad oil pump.. you may want to tear into your engine.

Could also be your oil pressure sensing unit or even your guage. Check the oil pressure with an actual guage before tearing into the engine... Only bad thing with that is if you have no oil pressure, the more you run it, the more you wear it out...

 

how are you measuring the oil pressure? with the stock gauge? if so, if may well be what Metallic_rock says - more than likely is the gauge or the sensing unit. Measure it with an actual gauge and that will give you the clue.

 

how about this, i pull one of the oil line out and nothing came out, and what i said before, too.i have a brand spanking new oil pump that cost me 155 bucks on mazdatrix plus i already tron the engine apart three times. is not the gauges is that theres no pressure going thru the sistem. and BTW i have a VDO oil pressure gauge that reads 20 psi and when it start warming up it start droping to 0- 5, i done everything that what i found on this forumses. i dont know what else to check other that the oil pick up tube

 

You said, you have pressure then it goes away.
re-check the front cover 0-ring. its leaking back to the pan instead of flowing to the oil cooler.

 

well taht was at first now i dont have any, i took one of the oil lines out today and theres nothing coming out of it last time i took the front cover off the o ring was in place and it wasnt blow by i it. i really dont know why is been a pain in the butt
