I have a 84 gs that won't crank.. I used a tester and I'm getting no power when I go to start position everything else works fine... I checked all fuses.. hopefully someone can point me in the right direction before I spend the money on a new ign switch I wanna make sure it's not something else.. it was working fine now doesn't get any power at the switch to send the start signal... and yes my starter is fine starts right up with any other 12v source

 

If you pull the surround and jump the leads across the solder points. If it cranks the ign switch is bad, if not its somewhere else in line. I dont remember the colors. ( I don't associate by colors because I'm colorblind probably the larger two. D/l a fsm)

there might be a more technical way to test that with your multimeter. but that's what I know
