Alright, I'll let this thread fly, but let's keep it civil.
Topics of the thread:
- Nikki Tuning for performance (even though it can be argued it was not "originally" meant for performance)
- Comparitive opinions on other carbs such as Weber, Holley, and might as well throw in Dellorto and Mikuni
with emphasis on "Can a Nikki be tuned as a performance carb?"
No fighting, no personal attacks, no swearing, no pimping wares.
Just facts, honest opinions, advice and theory/physics/science if desired.

So far it's been said that:
- 4bbl carbs offer a broader powerband
- Aftermarket carbs (2bbl specifically) are easier to tune out of the box
- The stock Nikki may be "old" but can be renewed, and is a good budget alternative that offers competitive performance
- New carbs are very expensive, but offer many features for replacable parts (like emulsion tubes)
