Nikki floods within 15 min of shutdown

anything would be an improvement for pump noise in my situation...its on the firewall using the wiper motor mount studs (I didn't want to make new holes) no rubber isolation and just to multiply the noise effect, the hood touches the pump in the latched position...loud doesn't begin to describe my pump noise lol.

I dont think a larger vent will do anything... I mean I doubt the pressure will build faster then the one you have now can vent and I doubt the pump can suck more gas that it won't be able to replace w/ air. Maybe just make sure it's not clogged. +1 on being able to hear the fuel pump... Its like a signal that you know the pump is giving to say "hey, I'm working". Try putting a hidden switch to kill power to it so then you can shut down a minute before you turn off the car. The bowls will be empty and won't leak = no smoke on startup + make it harder for a would be theif if your still parking on the streets. Just thinking out loud.

Thanks Jim...I recently started dealing with this problem in a similar fashion, but I'm a bit more conspicuous...lol...The fuel pump relay gets pulled while the car is running and then I let it empty the bowls and shut it down...just wish I figured it out a bit sooner as now I'm concerned about the oil control rings being worn from the constant wash away of oil from the flooding. I mean the motor runs great still, doesn't smoke, still shows great compression and is probably fine, but my paranoia will get the best of me yet.
The Carter showed up at my doorstep yesterday so the process is started, but am still undecided on a regulator as I am hearing a lot of conflicting senarios...interesting that I can find 4 different carter pumps, but not a single regulator, you would think they would make both...very peanut butter and jelly if you ask me lol.
Hey Jim are you going to be able to make Orchard Beach at the end of this month?
