I think 12K is over what the original price was? I am very happy if he gets it though!

I hope he gets $12k for it...makes mine worth more :-)) And mine has the original alternator, master brake and clutch cylinders, even heater hoses! But then again, I don't plan on selling any time soon.

Yes, I agree. I hope he gets top dollar for her. That will just keep enforcing the value of low mileage clean cars...

I can hope it hits that high too ... its already at 3.5k with 5 days left ... so there must be quite a bit of hype on it. I can see it go for about 8k

But there was also a waiting list to get them when they first came out and some places would charge $1000+ to put you on the list. This old guy i used t work with was a car sale man when they first came out. And he said they couldnt keep them on the lot.

That car is clean and low milage but well see what it end up going for. On ebay the price of good condition 7 1st gens has been on the up and up so it should go for a decent amount.

I was lucky. I was 6th on the original waiting list at my local Mazda dealer and bought the second one they sold (it's an S model and people wanted the GS). I paid sticker price...$6395. All told, with taxes and everything, I paid right at $7000.

Oh, i was way off on the price. I guess 12k is for the basic model FB. So 64mgb, Did you get the second rx7 ever? That would be awesome.

No, I'm afraid not...I think the people on the west coast got the first shot at the first ones. But I'm close...VIN 501090...they started at 500000.

7K (at most) for me. Would be nice to know what a nice tight one feels like. And I wonder how all the rubber has held up over 27 years.
