I didnt sell cause it was a non enthusiast female buyer.
Every once in a while you luck out and find a sucker. If you can get $5000 gor your stock non-SE all the power to you. I know of a dealer who got $2800 for a tan average condition K-car with no options to speak of, so there are people out there who don't have a clue and are willing to give you top dollar and then some. They just check their brains at the door on the way in...

But current market value that most non-SEs are selling for (assuming very good condition) tops out at $4000.

The faded but factory "Limited Edition" badges are still mounted on the B-pillars. (Too bad I don't have a digicam that works). They're about 4" long by 1" tall and used to be painted red at one time.

As far as I know the only thing this car has that other Series-3 12A-powered 1st gens didn't have is the power steering. This car was available in the states but not in Canada. The only reason I got my hands on it is because it was imported into British Columbia from California by a previous owner.

The "Limited" that you're talking about (the one with 14" rims) is a different animal, and yes, it was discontinued after 1983.

Actually We caravaned to rr last year with a 40 yo business buy with a fc with racing stripes and all that **** he drove crazier than most of us kids on the way up to.

I think the car is pretty tasteful, nothing too over the top, although i have a strong dislike for pedal covers.

Who says "restorer" and "kid" are mutually exclusive?

I'm 20, and I've restored my 84GS. I'll have put nearly 5g of parts in it after the steering is done. I basically still am a "College Kid"... for another 13 weeks at least

The trick is finding someone who is young, but also makes his decisions based on solid research and lots of time on forums like this and in shop manuals, instead of on impulse from movies like "The Fast and The Furious" or while staring at fartpipes at the local car store. We exist.. but we are few and far between.

Jon

Edit: You know Jon's tired when he accidentally posts that he has a GSL.... Error fixed

He's married, has a house, and just bought a 2003 350Z. Unless he just got out of college with a $100k/year job, he's not a "kid" (<25).

Emailed the seller through eBay, and asked where her husband got the seats. Gave a link to this thread, too. I'll post any response.

Cool

I always love to know people's first reactions to the forum.

And I definitely want to know what kind of seats those are, they look good.

lol I'm 45 and I find that car to represent tastefully mild ( not excessive ) mods. I like those seats, too. I like my Recaro's better, but I bet those cost half and I might get them if I didn't already have what I have.

No, that car wasn't thrown together by an immature person ( of any age ). I can see the love. I'm from Memphis and plan to look them up in a few weeks, because you know ? ... you never know !

"I bought them off ebay from Angeleyelister. Tell everyone thanks for the good feedback. We didn't have any luck selling it on ebay so if anyone is interested, have them send me a note.

Thanks,
Amy"

These look to be what Angeleyelister has for sale now:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33630

But they aren't the same, as the seats Amy bought don't have the red trim.
