well the last 3 days i spent scrubing the engine with parts cleaner i used a large soft metal brush a smaller one and a tooth brush took alot of hour's and a few rags busted my knuckles alot lost some blood but it was worth it

i took the engine to the shop at work and used the small presure washer"3500psi" i used castro super clean to help remove any parts cleaner or oil and to help losin any caked on crap i missed..

i would recomend tapin the ports off i just loaded the engine with oil before washing and made sure everything was oiled internally..

 

very clean...what you running, what setup, intake, exhaust so on and so forth

 

my own modded nikki stripped to essentials rb header to a 3" exhaust the reason fo that is i have a t2 fo the car.

practicaly its just a engine to get me car mobile just in cause my 1ton toyota gives in.. plus i miss doing cookies at the boat ramp parking lot

Is that engine stock, or have you put a finish on those housings? My engine's been dirty-grease-colored for as long as i can remenber... hard to imagine mine that shiny...

that looks really good!!! those irons will cut your knuckles easialy as they are known to have razor like edges!

+a bunch on looking great! curious though- is there a finish on the housings/front cover? were they previously polished? I was going to do this to my current motor before it went in, but got lazy/time crunched and never got around hauling the motor over to a buddys place to do it...was also going to pressure wash the seats-grassroots ms did an awesome write up on pressure washing things in/on your car to make them look new again ha...

 

no polishing no paint no finishing materials
just good old fasion elbow grease with parts cleaner and wire brush and tooth bruch for around bolts then the pressure washer did the rest just have to be carefull not to blow holes in ya front cover gaskets..

i belive they are for the air condition unit. and yes they can be takin out.

Seriously tho , nice! Pop out the oil filler and paint it up to compliment the block.
Yeah, bolts for air cond and power steering. Attach 2 nuts to the stud, wrench the INNER one and they spin right out...

awesome! incredible to hear thats how shiny they can get w/o polishing!! let us know how the clear coat holds up! where did you get the clear coat, and what kind was it? did you have to apply it with a gun or was it a hand held spray can?

its just a rattle can you can buy it any auto parts store..
just make sure its high temp.. so it wont discolour later.
