why are you using those? the reason they cut the grooves in the NGK plugs is so gas can drain out, those might be flood central

these are the aussie spec plug for the initial FC's
( read for coil near plug DF applications )
they run a very large gap so as to give better emissions and longer cat life
yes,, they are discontinued,, the reputation varies
personally i have seen them lose the porcelain insulator near the electrode
-- that is,, after they had done umpteen years and well past 40 000 km for various owners !
they are specially built for a long life irrespective of the wiping wear from the directional burn in the rotary engine
with features like the tip ceramic insulter near the arc path to enhance the self clean ability , and the main body insulator longer and deeper ribbed in design to prevent flash over from plug boot down outside of the plug when in flooded conditions
my personal thoughts are they are discontinued because they are initially demanded in very small closed market ( australia )
and they proved to last too long,, and if abused like this there is potential for them to fail with further consequences for the engine
when they have failed,, they have been very old,, and have failed after a flood start
indicates that wet mixture may well get between the insulator and a worn electrode and boils, shattering the insulator
-- other comparable plugs have the four cross slots ,, i believe this is to aid in the self clean and issues when flooded
BTW currently on ausrotor there is a bloke with 33 unused plugs who is currently contemplating ebay

in the US cars they were the plugs installed at the factory, but the parts supply chain is exclusively NGK.
however the early NGK's also had no cuts, and they had to add the cuts to attempt to get fuel to drain out of them, and have the cars not flood at the dealerships.
so these are dinosaurs...
heat range is no different than the NGK's, and that whole design has been proven not to work as well as the rx8/racing syle plugs anyways.
