Newbie!! well kinda!

hello everyone just wanted to say hey. and get the heads up on some things. I have owned about a dozen of 2cnd gens. but I just bought an 84 gsl. So its the first time for me doing the whole rotary carb thing. I ripped off some emmsions and so forth like i would do the 2cnd gen. but i think i took somethin off that i shouldnt have. when u start it up it idles high. also it wont hold an idle. can someone post the bare necessities that the carb needs to run??? thanks in advance

In the FAQ there is a link for removing the rats nest, it has a full walkthrough of removing everything you don't need and lots of pictures.

hmm, no pic, but its easy to spot. right underneath where your fuel lines feed the carb, there is a ***** with one single wire coming out. that is your vent solenoid, and should always open when the car is on.
