Question Newbie here with a question..

A friend of mine has an 84 RX-7 that he said he would sell me .. it needs quite a bit of stuff I don't think anything major though just a new wiper motor. He said the dashlights were blown and it needs a new paint job because its' been sitting outside for the past 2 years. It has approx. 238k miles on it but he said it still has enough power to catch 3rd . It also needs the plastic piece that goes around the steering column and other than that it runs great or it did the last time I rode in it .. He said he would sell it to me for 500 .. I was reading posts on here for about 2 hours before joining to see what I might be getting myself into .. i just want to buy it because I like the car and I want something that I can work on myself, something to play with .. Any help and suggestions would be appreciated..

Buy it, a Haynes book, and find the local salvage yard that has the same year as your car.

Welcome to the forum. I'm a newbie to, I have an 84 Rex and am planning to rebuild the 12a engine in it. Hey if you like the car buy it, it seems to be in running condition, and in a state that you can do pretty much what you want to it, so enjoy.

thanks to everyone I am now a Rotary Mech. in training. I am grabbing any info I can on the rotary engines, I am also contacting ASE to see if they have any test specificaly designed for the rotary engines.
