New wheels
I'm thinking of getting these wheels for my 83 12a they are Motegi MR7s 16x7. Whay do you think? good idea or not? http://www.motegiracing.com/wheels.html

They won't fit. If you look closely it says that the "GSL" pattern is from 84-88, which isn't true, and then they say 4X114.3 . So unless you have -SE axles they won't fit cause they made a mistake.

Nice, but how are you matching the bolt pattern? I couldn't find anything for a '83 RX-7. The oldest I found was for a '84-'88 GSL and those are for the 4x4.5/114.3 bolt pattern. Don't the '83s have 4x110mm?
Damn I was too slow. Two people posted before I got the chance to notice the difference. :P

couldnt you just grind a MM off each lug hole??? Just grind toward the center as much as possible.... And if you try it, and it dont work, dont blame me, I am not responsible for actions of individuals........

I'd suggest wheel adapters, they will give you the right offset and change your bold pattern. Some people don't trust the strength of an adapter...but, i've seen them used by some teams in the Porsche Supercup Series, plus on several Euro GT class racecars where stock brakes are mandated... so I figure they cant be "that" bad. Just buy them from a reputable source, which are usually in the $250USD range.
