new thread.. wheel questions
my situation is, the wheels i want only come in 4x100 and 4x114.3. one of those fits a gsl-se. i already have the gsl-se rear axle (done by previous owner) but i have the 4x110 on the rear and the front, (doesnt make sence to me) should i find a car in the junk yard and swap axles.. could someone help me out with ideas? i have disk brakes all the way around.
edit: 85 gs 12a. (like i said, gsl-se rear axle)

If you have 4x110mm all around then the previous owner swapped in a GSL rear end, not the SE rear. GSL rears have disks and limited slip and the same pattern as a GS. To confirm this, look at your rear brake rotors, if its a GSL not SE rear they will not be vented. As for wheels, there are a few that will fit our oddball pattern, just search hard and long, you'll find em. good luck

i understand, the previous owner probably stated gsl, and i figured gsl-se. but yes, i have a lsd, and 4X110.
how hard would it be to convert to 4x100?

i guess the gsl-se is 4x114.3. is it possible to convert my lug patern, example, putting gsl-se front brake rotors on my car / smae thing on the rear. would that work?

i have kyb shocks, and im between eibach or racing beat springs, so getting the suspension isnt really a big thing becasue it would be getting replaced anyway.
i was thinking i could just get some of this stuff from someone who is parting out a car since i see that happening alot even though the rear axle is the first thing to go.

but the question is..
would gsl-se brake rotors fit on my gs front stut assembly, and gsl rear axle so i would have the 4x114.3 bolt patern?

frankly, why would you put yourself through that when it would be far simpler just swapping the whole assemblies? i doubt if anyone would be willing to break apart their SE rear or front strut assembly, just to supply you with tidbits to convert brakes only.
maybe it's just me ...

hehe, if i had $1200 to blow I'd buy a set of panasports with some mad sticky tires. Oh well, maybe someday. I agree totally, the stock rims in good shape (like the ones I just restored) look really good. Now all I gotta do is get a set of eibach springs so I can get the GSL rear swap underway.....
