New sumitomo tire pics as promised.
195 60 r13 Sumitomo's
$204 shipped to my door. Got here in 2 days. Ordered from tirerack.com.
I'm happy with them. Definatly have alot more "stick" than the old dry rotted POS's I had on there before. It's like a new car around the corners now! But I haven't given the winter snow challenge yet. The rubber was suprisingly soft. Not sure how long these are gonna last but I like them.
If I had one complaint it would be that the slightly lower profile doesn't fill out the wheel wells as much as the old tires. I'm not to crazy about that. Otherwise I'm happy with them.

How are they in the rain? I was thinking of getting the same tires (The 205s), being in Florida and all.

I had HTR + in a 215 width that absolutely sucked in the rain. They were unbelievably good in the dry, and cheap, but I was always very careful in the rain. Don't trust those tires when wet unless you get a chance to really explore them in a parking lot or something, and leave plenty of room in traffic.

I have the 205/60 HTR 200 Sumis on mine, and they suck in the rain (although that might be attributed to my suspension setup). Also, they are pretty much toast after one season of autocross. They stick pretty good on dry pavement, and they are definitely a good tire for the price, but when I replace them it will be with something else. I can't imagine trying to use them on snow, they're downright scary in rain (potential spinouts on on/off ramps especially).

They are not a winter tire at all. The 1st black ice you hit, you are going to want the winterforces or blizzac's. If you insist on using these in your climate for winter I recommend that you have the tires sipped. Otherwise increase your car insurance and make sure you have collision coverage, lol.

Those are summer tires, I have the same tires on my 7. I havent had a problem with them in the rain at all. Thats something to be said about the rain we get here in the south and Close to the coast where I lived.
Ive been in rain strong enough to knock one of my wipers off, and the wheels stopped me and the 7 when 18 wheeler slammed on his brakes in front of me, so they work good enough for me!

I have those same tires on my GSL. I like the tires and I think they are pretty good in the rain. My truck is in the shop with a cracked head and I am unfortunately having to drive my non-winter 7 for a few days. Looks like we wont be having any snow in the next couple days. Those tires are not good in snow and ice.

Thanks for all the compliments.
I'll post up on the rain and snow thing as it comes my way.
I use to throw 2 80'lb bags of "quikrete" (home depot concrete bags) in the hatch and tie them down. Used the concrete because it's very cheap and heavy. During heavy snow and rain seasons. I was running a taller & narrower tire then but it stuck better than avg I'd say.
Just a thought for all the lucky snow rx drivers... I've been lucky so far with this car but if the weather gets bad here I'll be doing this experiment again.
