New site for FB suspension parts

This is the site set up by the guy who made the FB front coilover package recently sold to 6 RX7club members including yours truly.

In addition to the complete front upgrade including camber plates, threaded platforms and spacers, he he added aluminum ***** for the Tokico illuminas.

Package works with Koni reds, Tokico illuminas or other stock sized shock absorbers. threaded section, it will not work with Koni Yellows etc with larger diameter body.

Check it out at www.racersareme.com

2.25 inch diameter Eibach springs from Shox.com. 7" height will give you .5 inch clearance for your fender rim over wheel, but 6" will be level if you raise the platforms.

This stated the real reason for these is for corner weighting the car.

Ummm... with the exception of the spring perches on your struts which anyone with a grinder and elementary skills as a welder can handle, Ground Control is straight bolt on unless you need really large amounts of camber. Ground Control has been making top quality stuff for reasonable prices for a long time now.

Uncommon. Grinding and welding are what the term "bolt-in" defines as unnecessary. Saying "except for grinding and welding, X is bolt-in" is like saying, "except for wings and feathers, birds are pigs".

^That analogy needs work, but at 1 a.m. it's the best I can muster.

A turn in spacer corrects or improves the ackerman angle of the steering, which is the difference in steering angles of the front wheels, relative to each other. More ackerman, to a point, allows the inside wheel to more closely follow the tighter arc of the steering path that both front wheels follow when turning. I got mine fron g-force, but they make a world of difference. Great turn in, though not legal in some classes, Solo II CSP being one of them. They usually bolt on between the bottom of the strut and control arm.

Looks like a nice kit, may look into it.

Cheers,
Travis

I'm trying to convince him to make a rear coilover, anyone who's interested go to the site an post an email request, if enough requests are sent he'll be more inclined.

My suggestion is to use the stock rear mounts with a similar threaded platform then use a rear strut brace to connect and reinforce the upper shock mounts. It would be installed easily by the end user.

That stuff is crazy awesome, but wasn't it cheaper in the original group buy?

And where do you go to corner weight your car? I know coilovers can actually make things worse if you don't do it. Can you buy them?

Yes you can buy them, best way is eBay as they aren't cheap, however a bit of ingenuity and a quality set of house scales can be used.

They were cheaper in the original buy but he found they took more time than he expected.

He's a good guy to deal with do not hesitate to contact Tom.

Oh and these are completely bolt in, no welding or grinding needed.

Those turn in spacers will not change the ackerman, they will however correct the geometry of a lowered car. RB's dont ackerman correct either, only G-Forces does (look at yours closelt Travis, and re read his book, he has one difference on his spacers compared to the others on the market). On the street you wont notice it, but if you autox or roadrace you will as Travis said.

Nice looking pieces BTW. Might consider them for the streetcar buildup.
