so i just picked up my new 85 12a base model rx7... but the choke cable is broken i have a new one but how do i install it will i have to take the whole dash off?

 

No,pretty simple really.
Remove the set screw in the pull out ****, then the lock ring. If you remove the fuse box you should have room to get a arm/hand up behind there to disconnect the electrical connection and then you can pull it thru from the backside. Bring the throttle cable end inside to the car via the firewall opening.
Install is reverse procedure.

 

ok thanks man ill do it toamrow then tell you how it goes...its dark and raining at the moment..by chance how is the choke cable hooked to the carb its detatched from it to? haha sorry im super noob to most things
