New to RX-7club.com wanted some opinions

Hey everybody, As my first car I got a 1981 RX-7 GS which i am lucky to have. It needs some love and care and i will have it in good shape, but I had a few questions about recommendations on wheels and exhaust for my car. I've already done a few small things to it like switching out the 85 mph speedometer to a 130 mph and putting a dash cap on it. Little things her and there. I am the kind of person that would rather have performance than looks. I just hate it when i see a giant over size spoiler on the back and nothing else done to the car. Do you know what I mean? Well I know that RX-7's are not cheap. I knew that coming in. I know rotaries take patience and time. I am willing to save money. So, I was wondering is Racing Beat the best place to get an exhaust for an RX-7? Are they going to have the highest performance? What about the one at rotary performance? I have stock exhaust on right now. I want the car to breath a little better and sound louder to hear the rotary, but not too loud. I was wondering if I could have some opinions. Another thing is I like the old school racing rims. Where is the best place to get those? Rota Wheels? Panasport? Konig Rewinds? And if so does anybody know the wheel measurements for my year? Oh, one more thing the revs won't work, only when you move the wires connecting to the coils. What could be the problem? Well thanks for listening. RX-7's RULE!!!!!

The search engine is your friend. Located in the upper right hand section of the forum. Also, check out the FAQ on the main page of the 1st Gen Section for answers to most of your questions and then some. A lot of your questions have already been answered many, many times.

Welcome to the Darkside. Check out the FSM for your car here.

And, consider upgrading your old beehive oil cooler.

He stated it works when he moves the coil wiring. Which means that either the connectors are loose at the coil or a bad coil wire or along those lines.
