New To The Rotary
Hello all, I am a new owner of a 1979 RX-7 This is the first car that I have owned as far as rotary goes. I am looking to make this baby fast but dont know what I can do to it. Can I put a Turbo on it what? If you all have suggestions to help me out here I would really appreciate it. You can reply to this here in the rx7 club or you can email me or what not at timberwolf2369@hotmail.com
Thanks hope for some good stuff here!!!!

All of the answers you seek can be found in the first gen FAQ right here:
https://www.rx7club.com/1st-generation-specific-1979-1985-18/1st-gen-rx-7-faq-page-237777/
There is enough stuff on those pages to keep you busy for months replacing frequently worn parts and other things you'll need before you start looking into boosting..

1st gen NA RX7's aren't know for thier speed. Thier strong points are handling and braking. Bring these areas up to par or better first, while you are researching how you want the go fast part.
These are not like Hondas, they are harder and more expensive to be made competitive in the speed department.
There are some very fast 1st gen turbos on the forum, but it takes time, knowledge and money. Much more money than the car will ever be worth.
Good luck and welcome to the wonderful world of hmmmmmmmmm.

Wow, this looks almost identical to my first post
Tuneup, man. You'll save yourself so much trouble.
Just fix everything. Instead of buying OEM, though, buy performance, or better than stock. For example, if you go to replace your shocks, get some KYB or something while you're in there!
