new rats nest removal question!!

Before I ask the question I would like to state that its concerning a '80 sa rx7, that has a thermal reactor and a heat exchanger that is hollowed out(straight pipe)

Can I remove the rats nest With a stripped down nikki Per this turturial https://www.rx7club.com/1st-gen-archive-71/fuel-intake-rats-nest-removal-79-rx-7-pictoral-457961/ and still keep the air pump and use the thermal reactor still?

Also can I use the thermal reacter still if I remove the airpump and use a block off plate for the acv?( This I just temporary till I get headers and exaust.)

you can still use the thermal reactor as a header with the acv blocked off, it works for me. I just believe the function of the thermal reactor/pre cat will not work. As well without the airpump and with stock exaust i think it will block your cats faster (but not really fast)

Have you considered leaving it in? Is it causing you any problems? It doesnt really do anything but clean up the engine bay. Just a thought
