New Purchases.......

Cleaned out a guy this weekend of all his RX-7 stuff.

I bought a 83 RX-7 with a 13B and a CarTech Turbo kit on it. The body is in bad shape (needs paint) but the car runs GREAT! The interior is rough.

With the deal I picked up a Mazda PickUp (not sure what year) but it has a 13B 4 port engine in it. I does not run and it has sat for about 10 years (inside). The truck is complete but also needs paint.

Lastly I got a parts car (GSL) tossed in with the deal. The sunroof area is totally rusted out on it. Turned out the parts car had a bad fuel pump and I got it running. It is a stock with a 12A. Chef wants to buy the motor! (He has not posted in a while. Don't know where he is).

I scored all of this stuff for $3000.

Firstly, did I get ripped off?

Secondly, I have no use for the truck. What is it worth? Should i get it running or sell it as is?

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Wow awesome! I'd like to see pics of that REPU. The 13B in that REPU is one serious kick *** engine.

I would love to put up some pics on this forum inittab.

However pics and this forum does not mix for me as I am not a computer nerd and have no place to put up photos to link to.

Why fix the truck? Are they rare? What is it worth as i would like to sell it.

Gamble just said he would host photos for me so I'll get some photos up soon.

Thanks for the help!

FIX THE TRUCK!

If the truck is in good shape, than "No", you didn't get ripped off.

That 4 port 13B and the diffy are in demand.
Email me if you go that route with it!

Man you got away like a bandit. I would consiter just about everything you got as rare. Except the truck, its a pos. I'm just going to send a trailer down to New Orlands so you can send it up here and get it out of your way. . But seriously, REPU's are pretty rare. Correct me if im wrong, but didnt mazda only make about 15,000 of them in 4 years? Non running trucks usually go on ebay for about $1-2k.

No ****. Glad to pick up the truck in the deal then.

Should I part it out or sell the truck whole?

Are you interested in the Truck Sterling? Or just the parts?

As far as reparing the truck; Motor parts are easy to get? Probably needs a rebuild.

if its even somewhat complete. sell it as a whole. any 13b will fit in it. so a motor is easy.

so yeah, lets see some pics!

If you don't have a place to host the pics, one easy way to do it is to go to cardomain.com and create an account. You can post lots of pics there and link them to posts here. One bad thing: you have to put up with the cardomain logo on the pics once you post them. It's kind of like watching a tv show where the network puts its logo in the lower right corner and something significant to the show is in that spot and you can't see it.

Thanks for trhe help slashdawg.

I recieved that advice before and I did not do it yet and i should.

I will make a effort this weekend to put up some pics of all my stuff.

Never seem to have the time. It'll take me all day to figure out how to make it works. To get ANYTHING done on my computer that seems easy to other people takes me reading the manual & instruction for hours & hours!

Perhaps of the forum's smarts will rub off on me!

I can't afford another toy right now, but I think you should -
Definitely keep it whole, and
Wait for a decent price, even if you sit on it for a while.
