sleeper, yes, but get rid of that inter-heater. get a fmic with the coating that SCC suggested in their "25 sleeper tips" in the june 2004 issue. I just threw out all of my old issues that I didn't read anymore, or else i'd let you know what it is.

With no ducting or shroud on the stock intercooler, you would be better off without one. Your set up will heat the intake charge, not cool it.

Install looks good, but the huge exhaust tip looses the sleeper effect.

Does it run?
I noticed you are running a S5 setup, but I cant quite see how you mounted the engine.Looks like there is a standard 1st gen mount up there, but I dont see the S5 OMP.Is the wiring and AFM just there to get things plugged in,or is it running....(in limp mode?)

hell na it's in road runner mode right now.. that **** starts up like a monster and stays cool at like 1000 rpms. revs too the rev limit i bet but haven't done it yet. but i have the n374 ecu it goes just waiting on the real ecu. s5 fooooo shoooo.. jdm off the jdm clip i was sellin here a while ago. gsl-se crossmember and i pushed it up alittle to compensate for the tII tranny i still had to cut some metal in the interior but i didn't care. it looks good, afm is there the car won't run without it for now untill new ecu and omp is there too but is under the right head light right now.

What wheels are those on the rear? They're very nice, are they 4 lug? It looks like standard SE wheels on the front?

I was wondering the same thing. It would have to going into limp mode after a few (10?) minutes at most with what looks to be the 12a 2 line OMP there.

I did the same sort of install in my 81 rx7, using all the stock 90 TII (S5) stuff including the ECU. I used some resistors which delayed limp for about 10 minutes, then you need to switch engine off and back on again and you get another 10 mins.

I did some investigations and have been looking for validation of a theory, see extract from my website (text from here http://web.aanet.com.au/arran/car/part1/Electrics.html):

Side note added post rebuild: I have an untested additional theory on this. If the wiring diagram around the position sensor and throttle position sensors is examined, it becomes apparent that the narrow range TPS also shares the same voltage rails as the OMP. I have removed the covers from the ECU and traced a few tracks on the analog PCB. Both the narrow TPS pin 2F and the OMP pin 2A head into the same IC on the circuit board, HC289. I am suspecting that it is the narrow range TPS that is used as the reference for the OMP position sensor, and connecting the narrow range TPS signal pin 2F and OMP position sensor 2A together may remove the need for the OMP to be present.
