New Parts!

Just got these in the mail!

brembo front rotors
OER 45mm Carb
Side draft manifold (does it look ported to you?)
manifold gasket

coming soon are my Hawk HPS pads, fuel pump/fpr/fpg, and header!

Quick question on the carb, what all is missing from it?

If the intake is ported won't it cause reversion issues and actually flow less? Its looks ported to my untrained eyes. Maybe someone with more experience looking at side draft intakes can verify.

This is a little off topic but i've heard that porting an intake is not as benefical (or doesn't really make that much diference) as porting the actual motor (don't know if this is true but i just heard it somewhere). Anyways nice parts you have there have fun with them!

Thumbs up

Set up looks nice.

Porting the intakes does help to extent if you do volocity style porting to keep the pressure flowing through out.

Where the carb meets the mani, taking away or porting or polishing the lip that is there if visible creates less turbulance, every little bit helps.

Racing beat intake mani's are well designed but have a whole lot of rough areas through out the mani. Polishing those up helps gas flow.

Seem to work pretty well but to each there own. LOL

Good one. ^^^^^^^ If I'm not mistaken, the OER carb has only the one linkage for the throttle. They dont have provisions for your OMP or other stuff. Cruise, hot start assist, choke, and what not.

woah woah woah! what does this mean for my OMP, can I still use it or will I have to modify/remove and add 2stroke?

yes, only one linkage. thing is, if it goes on the car, the linkage is on the front passenger corner, and the end linkage is a ball?! seems like I have some work cut out for me...

Yes. That is one thing I don't like about the OER's. Really setup for racing. One throttle cable and premixing is in your future.

I would really hate to premix. I have to figure out how this OMP works, and see if I can rig something to work.

PS I live in charlotte, pretty close to statesville.

When I put a holley and RB manifold on I was in the same boat. I just wired up the MOP to "full" and havent had any problems.

Ughhhhhhh, if your not "sure" about this setup, I would suggest asking for some advice from one of the elders here. This would be a good time for Trochoid or Robert to advise you on where to go from here.

The RB prepped Holley has provisions to run the OMP MOP oil lines to the carb. I don't believe the OER does.

Mine isn't an RB carb. Didn't have the money for that then and since my 7 is my DD, I couldn't wait for the money. Would have been nice to have one though.

Sorry, I didn't metion that I did a 13b swap. Proly makes a difference with his set up.

Actually, I know it does. Disregard my post. My bad.

I was sure on what I knew, I even started threads on the carburetor at hand, but couldnt get a stockport jet specs, only streetport specs.

as far as OMP goes, I am thinking about hooking it up to a spare coolant resevior tank filled with 2stroke to pump into the engine, with a sensor to tell me when it is getting low.

Cool. I just wanted to make sure you knew what your getting into. You really don't want to use a plastic tank to setup your remote OMP. The oil will eat the tank. I tried to find out some info on the OER setups, about what you may need, and its not real clear. Where did you get the intake and carb from?

Ok. I am probably going to get flamed for using someone elses pic, but this was all I could come up with.

It looks like you need that ramp on the firewall side of the carb. And I believe the throttle cable attatches to the breather base.
