Talking New paint

I just got pictures of my new paint and I feel obligated to share (/show off.) I've been training at boot camp and A-school, so I haven't seen my 7 in 6months but I get her back in 22 days! So there's some pictures up at: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2190491
Share in my excitement

Where did you have it painted? PA?

Also did you get that car from an ex forum member and is it a -SE?

I got it painted in PA. Art was definitely awesome. He's a buddy of my dad's and he's made the cover of Hot Rod Magazine at least twice for his work. Sticks to your budget tho. And I did buy it from a forum member, Jeremy who's down in FL now. It is GSL-SE but was converted to carburation for racing.

I've got the same size wheels, I think. I don't know if it's lowered or not. I was lucky enough to inherit this one with upgraded suspension (doubly lucky it was done right) but that also means I don't know exactly how much it's deviated from stock.

I'm probably putting the side molding back on, although it does look pretty nice without it... I didn't expect to actually like it without the moldings.

Don't bother putting it back on, if you want to go back without it the newer double sided tape will be harder to get off.

I prefer them without.

I too think I like it better without if only there was a nice wasy tremove the bumber moulding to. I know it is part of the bumber but maybe some blending or something looks nice I am waiting for one of my 7s to be finished painting from a buddy of mine. I took the moulding off too. Are you at least going to replace the rx7 logos on the front fenders?

I still have all the orignal parts. I'm just going to shine them up and put them back on over Christmas. The pictures were taken just after the paint had set, that's why she's still naked. I'm at least holding off on the moldings until I can get it buffed in the spring. Gives me plenty of time to decide how I like it

That color holds a very special place in my heart, since that was the stock color of my -SE before I went Chrome Yellow Clearcoat in 2003. Very nice car, BTW,
