I've said this many times. If the rear hatch carpet doesn't come with the molded, they will usually sell matching rool stock carpet.

The only reason I say this is, $100T2, learn to sew it yourself. lol Hadn't seen you on in a while, was wondering if you got lost in your projects.

Nah, I don't want to sew it myself... That's what I have Lynn for.

As far as lost in projects, nope. There has been too much rain to do anything at all... I can't work on the subwoofer enclosures, I can't remove the headlights to work on the flush mounts... I did take the taillights off so I can make smooth covers for those, but there's just nothing else to do... When I can't work on the car, I don't post much. Just not in the mood, I guess.

i got some free samples for my brown fb interior (got rid of car, so didnt have a chance to order so can not comment on how well it fits) and i got a couple free patches, their carpet is really nice, and matches. so before you order, get samples. because the ones i ordered and thought would look like my brown interior looked nothing like the carpet.

www.stockinteriors.com is the site.

Yeah, I'm bringing back an old thread. But has anyone who ordered carpet, got around to installing it and snappin pictures? Only reason I ask, is I'm sitting here with 2 or 3 different sites open, now I'm waiting to see what you all thought about the carpet you got.

Cool, let us know. I ordered mine from 1A Auto not too long ago, and was a lil disappointed with the fit of it. almost like it was 10% smaller all around than the floor pan. 1A Auto gets the carpet from ACCMATS, says it right on the box. Let us know if the one from Stock Interiors is from ACCMATS. I am looking for a different one to put in my car.

to be honest i haven't had god experience with 1a auto neither, i ordered door weather stripping, the one side had quite a bit of slack where the bend is.

I bought a 2nd gen carpet set from 1a auto and the fit sucked. There was too little near the doors and the only way to stretch it far enough to fit was to cut slits behind the seats and then fill them back in with a different carpet. I would never buy their carpet sets again. They weren't very well molded to the floor shape either. I'd like to know who sells a better one. I may just go buy a roll of nice carpet from an auto upholstery shop and have some guys custom install it. I've had that done in the past and it looks great. It didn't cost a whole lot more either.

I would like to order a new front piece of carpet, but dont want to get the ACC MAT again, so I called one place, www.auto-interior.com and asked who they get their carpets from, and they said ACC MAT. So if anyone orders carpet, and gets a different manufacturer, I'd like to know.

I know, me too. I started a thread a while ago showing my whole strip down, prime, dynamat, and new carpet, but havent updated it because I'm looking for new carpet, since the front half of the 1A Auto carpet (accmat brand) is junk. I have yet to install the back half I got from them.

It is too short on the passenger side. I did not cut it short or wrong or incorrect, that was the first thing I though, it just wasnt stamped right I believe. When its flat up agains the tunnel, and the tunnel side seat mount on the passenger side, when you try to get the door sid to line up with the natural curve of the carpet, there is a gap of about 2 inches betweent the carpet and the door sil. If you lay it flat around there trying to make it look right, the molded seat mount humps aren't aligned. After several hours of playing with different placements, and uninstall/reinstall it looks like that carpet is too narrow for that side. Even with the driver side not held down/inplace. Its like the passengerside is 2" narrower. Its in my car right now, im dealing with it, but i dont like the gap you can see between my door sil plate and the carpet.

^That's the exact problem I had with the 1a auto carpet except I didn't have enough room on the driver's side. It was barely enough on the passenger side. It also didn't fit the contour of the floor all that well either. Just plain crap.

Talked to the guys at STOCKINTERIORS.COM and they said they DO NOT sell ACC products. So I think I will order my front half from them and see how it fits. I would recommend other people to stay away from companies that sell the ACC MATS products.

so true. that 1aauto carpet fitment for my 2gen is crap.the molding sucks too. i just cut the carpet in half so it would reach the doors. then put another small carpet on the center part where it was needed.

^^^

thats what I did, but where the seam was it was right where the car goes from the floor pan to the door, along that 90* bend, and the seam was exposed and ugly.

Im done trying to fix it, I need to just order another one from someone else.

See the passenger side, how much metal shows because the carpet wasnt stamped right or something.

yep my carpet is having the exact same problem. about 1" of the metal is sticking out past everything. i think i'm either gonna get some strong double sided velcro tape, or just some gorilla snot and glue it up on there. i'll take pics once i get it finished, but i would have to agree the stamp is a little off
