New Guages...?

Well i have spare room below my cd player in my GSL-SE. I want to put a couple exstra guages in there. Im thinking about an Air/Fuel Ratio and an Oil Temp guage. Wheres the cheapest place to get these guages, what are some good brands other than autometer, what size should i get, and what other guages are useful, im non turbo so no boost guage required...yet.

below cd player = good...cheapest place for gauges = canadian tire...size = whatever you like...types = boost, air/fuel, vacume, you can put in whatever you like but in an rpm gauge if you want

Air/Fuel, Fuel Pressure ( after the regulator of course ), and Vacuum is what I plan to do. I wouldn't mind having an exhaust temp gauge or readout, too for reference.

Intake temp,oil temp,fuel pressure.
Dont waste your money on A/F gauges, they dont give you any helpful info and the bouncing will drive you crazy.Wideband A/F gauges are still expensive, but getting cheaper. Those are the only ones that provide usable information.
Easy to make a plastic plate to mount the gauges.I used a 1DIN filler plate from a car electronics store. Its got a factory looking grain texture and a semigloss finish.Just get a hole saw to make perfect circles and you cant go wrong.

Standard 2 1/8" Autometer ultralights. The control boxes for the intake and fuel gauges are mounted to the side walls of the glovebox.

I used a filler plate from an electronics store, cant remember which one now.Its for when you have a big stock stereo and you install an aftermarket one.The blank plate is to fill the gap.I trimmed the edges and used a 2" wood hole saw bit to make the holes perfect.A small file was used to open them up another 1/16" to get a snug fit in the gauge body.
If you have a TAP Plastics or other type place in your area, they can cut/shape/drill/mold/bend any type of plastic into any form you want.I used them to recut my acrylic headlight lids.

yea i thought about doing intake temp, but is it really necessary? I can only have 3 guages unless i go pillar pods as well and i was considering getting a fuel guage since mine doesnt work lol. I could always attempt to fix mine on the otherhand.

I did air/fuel and boost gauge. But the boost gauge is being moved and being replaced with electric oil pressure.

I digress,

They work fine if you use it's own dedicated O2 sensor, rather than
plugging into the stock ECU's output (which will go all over the place as
you described).

And it IS much better than nothing.

My 02 cents.
