New Goodies ordered (project cheap autocrosser)

Well project cheap autocrosser is getting some new toys!!

Just ordered some new Tokico Illumina's and some RE-Speed Camber plates!!!

Doing some freshing up to the car and will be buying some new Hoosier A-6 tires to replace the old A-6's on my car.

I will go with some RE-Speed coilovers in the summer....

Funny how "project CHEAP autocrosser" is not turning out to be so CHEAP!!!

They all start out that way, but then you get to thinking, "Hey, if I get this part then I'll be able to shave 2/10ths of my lap time." And then the process just repeats over and over until your dirt cheap car becomes the most expensive thing you own.

A cheap autocrosser would be just a bone-stock car stripped down to its bare minimum.

Just installed RE-Speed camber plates this weekend. I am going with the full coil-over set up this summer too. Clanking of the stock spring perches can be irritating and I need more camber.
Call Billy about your rear shocks.

Cool MAN!!! I want to come when I can get a two day race weekend. A bonus would be if I can get a 2 day race weekend in MI and pick up maybe a 1 day race the next weekend somewhere between MI and TX.

Also, what about the 2 day event in May... May has GOT to be cooler than August!!!

BTW, just ordered the shocks from RESPEED website... hope he has the shocks since his website said there was a wait on these..
Also...BTW... what the hell is RESPEED's phone number??? It PISSES me off when you go to a website of a vendor and the phone number is not blatently obvious!!

The May race is a good one, but not one of our best lots. Not bad, just not that great. The race on July 2/3 is a very nice lot, and an event that I would recommend over the May race (unless you can make both). Either way, you'll have a blast.

At these weekend long races I usually have people from out of town camping in my backyard. It's very private, large (an acre, which is huge in the city), and like my own personal park. We've even got a bonfire pit that we put to frequent use.

I'll be making out to at least one of these races, providing I don't over tighten the wheel bearings again. I've got a lot of sorting to do before I get any racing in.

I've got a short shifter and RE-Speed Camber plates ready to go in. I'm waiting for tax return $ for the struts and shocks and new wheels. The Nebraska Region SCCA has dates but not all places confirmed.

If anyone is interested in going to Nationals and wants to check out the surface, any of the events at LAP(Lincoln Air Park) are a great way to get some practice time. Check out nrscca.com for more details as time progresses. The events not at LAP are usually at either Lincoln Southwest High School or the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
