New Brake Rotor/ Wheel hub Design???
So I purchased new rotors and pads for my rx7 that has been sitting for 10 years. I went to use the bearings from the old rotors and they are too small for the new rotors. They seem to have changed the design. I went to autozone and got the new bearings and they fit. (I need one more outter bearing)
Anyway, as anoying as this is What about the dust seal which goes on the outside of hub. The old design doesnt seem to fit (or doesnt look it) where can i purchase this part.
Im gonna take some pics so everyone gets a better idea of what im talking about.
Thanks,
...I also heard that new calipers from autozone or where ever wont bolt up to the soft brake line. I should probably replace both anyway but whats with these design changes. I know its an old car but come on!!! :-D

I have a 1985 SE with the 1.1 12a. The new bearings came with races and are bigger than my old set.
Maybe I have the 79-83 design on the vehicle. Possibly a past mechanic didnt have 85 parts but had 83 and older. Idk but what the heck lol

Also will the spindles accept both year bearings? Im gonna have to do a test fit with one rotor later...
Enless im just an idiot and i didnt realize that the old rotors still had the bearing races in them.
...I should have double checked before posting

hmm I bought the car from the original owner who is my girlfriends uncle. He is not mechanically inclined what so ever but babied the car by bringing it to mechanics and did routine matinence. That would be quite the job for a mechanic to do to swap everything out behind his back lol.
10 years ago before the car was parked he had a new exhaust system installed by some hack mechanic and he said the mechanic "did something where the engine was gonna blow" ... My girlfriend uncle sewed the mechanic in court, he won, and the mechanic had to pay Mazda 2500$ to re do the entire exhaust system on the vehicle to OEM spec. We had this conversation with the whole family so i know her uncle aint no nut case.
Then shortly after that the car was parked lol Maybe this hack mechanic was swapping parts lol IDK but bizzare.

First of all if you have a 12A then it is at best a GSL, not a GSL-SE. The SE had a 13B and different brake rotor/hubs. Since your girls uncle is the original owner I'm sure he would have mentioned an engine swap.

Well I called it I'm an idiot. I didn't realize there were races in the old rotors, so coated in grease to tell and Ive never worked with this type of rotor and wheeling hub/ bearing design before. I guess it would help to sit down and look into a bit more next time.
Thanks for all the responses.
