doesnt granny's or hinson make a kit for the 1st gens? and what was so difficult about making the mounts for the ls1...there super easy, to stick mounts and a plate mount for the tranny is all you need...

Ok Ok I get it, It's to high I know trust me . my thin self can slide, on my back, right underneath it with no jack . All get it all worked out though. Rally driving dose sound fun though .

You many have just mistyped it but there are no 94 LS1, those were LT1,
and If you get a LT1 make sure it's a 95+ or you'll have headaches.

As for making the swap kit, No hinson doesn’t do 1st gens at all and granny’s does but only for small blocks and things, no LS1, the LS1 oil pan and general configuration are different from small blocks. And with the rear mount steering on the FB it kind of goes something like this (first picture) when you try to fit one in the same way as a small block or LT1 (second picture). the LS1 pan is aluminum so welding on it is hard and the pans warp very very easily making them leak like a sieve. most after market ones leak as well and I haven’t found one aftermarket one that will fit either.

Second picture is of the 305 I had in it previously.
And YES!! The LS1 is as high/back as possible.
I have resolved the problem very harshly but it works.
I wanted to try re-speeds front mount steering kit but the prices is way to up there.

Also to continue it is not as simple as motor mounts and tranny mount. I have to do custom headers because I want Long tubes, custom exhaust, custom driveshaft, cooling system, all the wiring, other general clearance issues, and plenty of other things. Don't make it sound so easy .

And thank you everyone for the reviews, all see what I can get do by next weeks end to show you all.
