The new 83
Won't start :/ the only way to get it going is push start. Yesterday I turned they key and a loud skreech noise was made, since then, nothing.
New battery.
Also, all my electric is fried.
Got this car to learn on, so not that I want to, but it's not that huge of a deal if it croaks. I got a transplant 12a, tranny, roof, hatch and the hatch release deal. Which is broken on my 84(main) plus a crap ton more should I decide to part it out. For 600 bucks. I think I can make my money back.
Any ideas of my electric or ignition? Preferring an answer for ignition first however.

Bad connections at the battery/starter or internally corroded (original) cables can cause low voltage at the starter. Low voltage at the starter can result in partial engagement of the starter, which in turn results in the screech you heard.
I would start by rechecking the wiring, and replacing the cables if you haven't yet. The originals are aluminum and can corrode internally while appearing fine externally. This can lead to all sorts of weird complications.
Also, for hard starting, make sure you have spark on the leading ignition. A compression check of the engine might also be in order.
Good luck.
