need your advice

I do not have a lot of money for a car but I need one and I have always loved rx-7's My question is should I buy this, I cannot afford to be putting lots of money into fixing it, and I do not know a lot about rotary engines. DO you think this car will hold up or will I have to replace the engines in a few months

I agree... price is high.. especially this time of year!! You can't even see the car for the snow and ice!!

I'd take it to a shop and have them do a 50 point inspection... general mechanical stuff... then have them check for rust, especially under the bins.

If the engine runs good, and the rest of the mechanical stuff is good, then I'd offer 2500. It looks stock, even the wheels!!

well that is in Canadian dollars.
Ya I was unsure as I have been told that rotaries don;t last more than 150 000 km's
Also can I do a compression test on a rotary without getting special equipment, sorry I really know nothing about rotaries, but I do want to learn so any resources are muchly aprreciated

As with every motor, if you take care of it it will last. If you over heat it it won't last.
My car has 185,000 miles and still strong (except it is not starting right now, but I will figure it out) and my brother's car has 177,000.

Make sure you have a fully charged battery when it is tested for compression as well. A slightly dead battery can cause unreliable compression results.

Just a quick note for those of you who didnt notice it is 3000 canuck bucks and 180 000Km's seems like a fairly good deal to me as long as everything is in good order.
