Need Vac Help Please
I stripped down my nikki per a post on here with colored pages from the manual. Now my question is this: What steps do I follow in the rats nest removal because my carb has been stripped? Also Where can I find premade block off plates for the rats nest removal and what is the best way to seal them? Sorry I am a newb and thanks for your time.

Everybody seems to screw this up. Don't feel bad. If you get the racing beat exhuast system, the blockoff plates you need come with it. Otherwise you can order them separately, not that I'm in any hurry to send RB any business. Most people make their own.
When I pulled the rat's nest, I had the RB exhaust already installed. After that, I just pulled everything off, and plugged every vacuum source. Then, I hooked up the vacuum advance and ran a line from the nipple on the oil filler tube to a nipple at the base of the carb. That's about it.

We're just getting into some pretty good discussions on this stuff right now. Stop by and say hi.

Well i dont have a grand to buy new exaust right now even though the first grand i get its going to full rb set up. My problem is that my car is idling at 4000 rpms and i can't seem to find a vacuume leak anywhere. I followed that tutorial and i donno what the differences are when stripping all emissions from a stock nikki to a sterling nikki....any help?

spray carb cleaner around and pay attention to idle changes, where your car changes idle after spraying that's your affected area, inspect it, that's a HUGE leak so it shouldn't be too hard.
check for the anti-afterburn hose, it's on the manifold, passangers side, towards the firewall side, it goes from the manifold to the back of the manifold? i can't remember exactly, but it usually burns a hole at the bottom due to it being so close to the exhaust.

When its idling high like that, look down into the carb and see if the plates are closed or open. Just to make sure that the linkage isn't binding or something, which would be the case if the plates are open at idle. The primary plates do not close all the way, so there will be about a 1/16 inch gap, don't worry about that...
