I have a steering box from a parts car that has the best steering I have felt on a 1st gen. Someone out of state wants to buy the unit, but said they just needed the box not the steering column. I was at this point unfamiliar with the internal mechanics of the unit but assumed the purchaser had experience, so detached the column by taking loose the large but at the base. Of course this was a mistake because the unit is a complete assembly, which I learned the hard way. I have reassembled the unit but now it's completely out of adjustment, when turning it one way it has 1/2 turn of nothing after the gear has reached lock. If anyone could point me in the right direction on how to set this back up properly so I can get it sold I would appreciate it. I have searched the topic but only came up with how to adjust it is there is play, not for reassembly
Here is what I took out :/
