Need some quick help (alt)

So... Here I am again posting a thread looking for advice. I redid my cooling system and replaced my water pump like everyone told me to, and when I put my alt back on and went to connect it to the batt, the prong broke off. Now my problem is, I am using an s5 alternator, and I have an extra s3 laying around, but I am unsure about connection. My instinct is to just plug them in the same way, and one prong being sideways shouldn't make a difference. I'm bait willing to take chances though. Here's some pics.

I actually just noticed the hole that looks like a phone plug, wth am I supposed to do with that? Please help. Never thought I'd say it but I've had enough of the garage for one day.

Welllllll... Screw u guys I'm goin home!

On the real though I figured it out with the help of highnitro12187. Turns out if you put the worse to the alt on backwards nothing catastrophic will happen except your car will stay running even with the key in hand. So I killed it with the clutch and swapped them and it works fine. Not much of a difference between an S4 and s5 alt. I used to be at 14 now I'm roughly at 13 volts. Hope this sticks in the back of somebody's head and helps them in the future.
