need some help
can anyone take a picture of their hoses they routed fron rats nest removal on a 79 12a? i am wondering if i did something wrong..
also does anyone have a pic of the idle speed screw i am not sure where it is on my nikki

There are two places the idle adjust can be on a '79 carb. On mine, both the idle speed and mixture adjust screws are stacked, one on top of the other in the middle of the carb body on the drivers side. On my recently departed '79, the idle speed screw was hidden down by the accelerator pump linkage.
As for vaccum routing, I've got the factory diagram here:
If you want to retain vaccum advance at the dizzy, be sure and get two lengths of vaccum tubing and attach the pots on the dizzy to their corresponding nipples on the carb spacer. At this point, you'll want to either retain the ventilation and check valve, or purchase a PCV valve and follow any of the procedures listed in the FAQ to plumb it into your now very simple vaccum system.

okay what is the little nub at the 7 oclock postition from the throttle opener.. ? i have the 2 seperate hoses run to their corresponding nipples.. and i have the ventilation and check valve.. but what else do i actually need?

i wish i had a 300zx. i love those.. but still before i did all the work to my car it used to pick up pretty well .. then i added a header.. direct fire ignition.. rats nest removal.. and now it acceleerates like crap

Have you checked all your wiring for direct fire? Double Checked? Triple Checked?
Trust me, there is so much potential for disaster when doing ignition mods that you can't be too careful. Dollars to donuts your problem is due to the ignition mods, not the rats nest.

could be could be... mine is simple though.. i have the second gen direct fire system.. so i only have a few wires.. and everything is set up like it should be.. but i will double check..
