need price help

I have an 85 gsl, 5 speed, with only 69k original miles for sale. I am asking $1900. Someone told me that is too little for the mileage and I might be scaring potential buyers away because they think something is fishy. Truth is it was my husband's car bought new. He traveled(by plane) alot, and when he drove to work, it was only 14 miles round trip. We had 2 small children at the time too so it was hardly used any other time except an occassional road trip. Then after the first 8 years, he got a company car and the Rx7 became an occassional fun ride on weekends. It was never abused and always registered and passed inspection. So do I ask more $$ for it? Does anyone actually sell their car using this forum?

If it still runs GREAT and the body and PAINT are PERFECT, then you have a $3500 - $4500 car....

price question

paint is not perfect. leather interior is faded in areas and cracked on the seats in 2 spots, tho all other areas are ok. so if it isn't $3500, i guess $2500 isn't unreasonable?

Is the sheetmetal almost perfect, then? No hail dents or big door dings? If so, then you've got a $2500 car, but if the body has damage, $2000 tops...

With that kinda milage on a car that old, i think that the 2500-3500 range is good as long as its rust free, ect...

price help

My husband says "ain't nothing wrong w/ sheet metal." There are what we thoght a few hail dents, but we know that they are acorn dents!! You really have to look to find them. Thanks for all your opinions. Since i already advertised on this site, I think I have to stick to $1900 for those that respond from this site. But I am going to advertise locally and I think i will bump it up alittle to see what the response is. We are the original owners and it was my husband's car, a replacement for a 64 vette, which was a replacement for a 56 t-bird. So it will be hard to get rid of!
