New clutch.. some problems

ok here goes, i had clutch problems lately so im tossing in a new one.. with a friend, and we cant seem to drop the driveshaft on my gsl-se.. all the bolts are out, everything is outta the way, there is only one bolt i think could cause problem, and its a threaded screw on top of the tranny threading into the engine block, right on top.. other than that we cant jiggle the driveshaft loose for anything.. penetrating oil,.. anything.. nothing works.. is there any special trick to this? i have dropped driveshafts off many other vehicles. - chevy trucks and a datsun.. and this one just wont come..
any help would be great...
Daryl

All I did when I dropped the drive line on my 83 GSL was take out the 4 bolts and nuts at the diff, and then it fell down at the back. After that, I just had to slide the front out of the tranny. You should only have to take out the 4 bolts at the back, nothing else.

the shaft has a little lip that slides into the pinion flange at the front of the diff. take a rubber mallet and tap it out gently (it will probably take a little while, so dont get annoyed with it )

peace

it might be worth your while to spray a little penetrating oil at the driveshaft/differention junction, but other than that ... do what damon said. or try to slide it forward (towards that tranny) with your hands, but the rubber mallet is probably the best way.
