Need How-To Book on Bodywork

My goal for 2003 is to finish off the body of my Project 82 all by myself, learning as I go. It needs dent repair, ugly sheet metal screw hole repair, light rust repair, fenders-nose-and-hood replacement, and then complete shell painting.

I need a thick book penned by a pro who describes the hows, whys, and tools in detail, and includes lots of good color photos.

Any suggestions based on actual reading experience?

Trust me, I'll be trialing some errors even with a book in front of me. If I'm so smart why didn't I buy a car without friggin screw holes in the roof!!!

I'm pretty sure Haynes makes a body work manual, telling you all about different filling and cutting methods, and how you have to sand the hell outta it to make it look nice... trust me... you'll hate sandpaper after this

Thank you, but the fact remains that most Haynes manuals are written by inhuman sadistic trolls who delight in torturing the hapless souls who attempt to folow their jumbled "directions" and muddy B&W photos of parts that never look quite like what you're holding in your hands.

I repeat, book by a professional.

How to Paint Your Car
by David H. Jacobs (Paperback - September 1991)
Avg. Customer Rating: 4/5

It's very comprehensive including paint material selection and body work.
